The Exploress and the Pillars of Eternity Is Here!

Today is a very special day—I’m thrilled to finally announce the release of my newest novel, The Exploress and the Pillars of Eternity! After months (and honestly years) of research, writing, revising, and dreaming about distant deserts and ancient mysteries, this story is finally ready to explore the world.

A Journey to Ancient Egypt

Set in early 19th-century Egypt, The Exploress and the Pillars of Eternity is an adventure filled with travel, discovery, danger, and a touch of romance. It’s a story about curiosity, courage, and the irresistible pull of the past.

The novel follows an extraordinary young Englishwoman named Sarah Banne Belzoni on a journey through the landscapes of ancient Egypt—across deserts, along the Nile, and into the shadows of ancient monuments that have guarded their secrets for thousands of years.

Like many readers of historical fiction, I’ve always been fascinated by the early explorers and scholars who traveled to Egypt during the nineteenth century. Their journeys were filled with wonder, risk, and discovery. Writing this book allowed me to step into that world and imagine what it must have felt like to stand before ruins that had been silent for millennia.

From Research to Story

Writing historical fiction always begins with research, and this novel was no exception. I spent many hours diving into the history of Egyptology, early travelers’ journals, and the cultural atmosphere of the early nineteenth century.

But beyond the research, what fascinated me most was imagining the human side of exploration—the hopes, fears, ambitions, and relationships that shape every great journey. Those elements became the heart of this story.
